On Wednesday, January 25th, the N.C. Cooperative Extension – Scotland and Robeson County Centers are hosting a Backyard Muscadine class at the Scotland County Center.

Many topics will be covered and class will be followed by a demonstration at Shawn Bupp's vineyard in Red Springs.

Registration is required.

Topics covered during this workshop will include trellising, training, and pruning vines; recommended varieties and cultivars; fertilization recommendations; and pests and diseases. There will be a demonstration AFTER class presentation.

After having class first at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Scotland County Center, participants will travel to the vineyard of Shawn Bupp's located at 580 Edinburgh Road in Red Springs, NC. for hands-on pruning experience. Bring your pruners and dress appropriately for the weather.
