Collapse ▲As part of Small Farms Week 2025, Scotland County 4-H had the privilege of honoring Eric Morris of E. Morris and Son Plant Farm for his dedication to agriculture and his generous support of youth in our community. Our 4-Hers took a hands-on tour of the farm, where they learned about the four-generation legacy of the Morris family business, planting best practices, and essential tips for managing a small farm.
The youth were fully engaged, exploring various methods of growing food and plants, and walked away with a deeper appreciation for the hard work that goes into small-scale farming. Mr. Morris’s generosity is evident in the way he continuously supports Scotland County 4-H, donating starter plants and seeds whenever our youth begin planting vegetables, flowers, or even our special pizza garden! His contributions help shape the next generation of farmers, gardeners, and agricultural leaders.
Thank you to Kimberley Garrison, parent and club co-leader of the Scotland County 4-H PLANTS SPIN Club for organizing the educational trip. Thank you to our 4-Hers who came to participate and a very special thanks to Mr. Morris!
